Our goal is to be recognized by customers as their preferred provider of service in the freight forwarding industry. Caribbean Cargo DC will at all times provide professional, reliable, efficient and personalized services that are based on the company’s two most important assets — Visionary Management and Dedicated Staff.

MEET THE PRINCIPALS:

Royston DeSouza
Royston is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and has several years of executive and business management experience in the Washington, DC area. He has also attended the University of Virginia and Darden Business School in order to enhance his management training. As president of JHD Media, he provides advertising and marketing expertise to small and medium sized businesses.

Royston is a founding member and past president of the Organization of Caribbean Businesspersons (OCB), an organization dedicated to promoting Caribbean-American business ventures. This, combined with years of experience as co-owner of a successful restaurant catering to Caribbean nationals, gives him an intimate understanding of international business issues.

Ansel Hall
Ansel has been driven to succeed since immigrating to the United States in 1983 to attend Howard University after obtaining his first degree in Trinidad from Valsayn Teacher’s College. He later obtained a graduate degree from George Washington University.

He is currently the President and CEO of Caricare Inc, a non-profit organization and an essential contributor to the success of Caribbean Cargo DC. He focuses both his business and personal efforts on the Caribbean community in order to remain in touch with the issues and challenges impacting the Caribbean community both here in the United States and abroad.

Bertram Smith
Bertram immigrated to the United States from Guyana, South America in the 1970’s and quickly established himself as a successful engineer with Fortune 500 companies that included Eastman Kodak and Hewlett Packard. His expertise in software engineering has enabled Caribbean Cargo DC to develop an exceptional computerized shipping oversight process.

He founded his first air cargo company in the DC Metro area seven years ago, and has been fine tuning international freight forwarding procedures ever since. He is happily married with two grown children and volunteers at his church when not chasing golf balls through the woods or into water hazards.
